How Can I Guarantee My HGVC Rental?
When you reach an agreement with the timeshare owner, be sure to exchange personal information. Part of this information should be some sort of confirmation of reservation, whether it’s a printed document or referral number. If you want to touch base with the resort before your trip, make sure the timeshare owner has notified them of the rental before calling to ensure a seamless transition.
Will I Have Access to HGVC Member Benefits Through Rental?
Not all membership benefits are transferrable through rental. Since you are renting accommodations, you will likely not have access to special features or bonus amenities like Clubhouse access, rounds of golf, complimentary goods, and other member-only features.
If I Have HHonors Points from Hilton Hotels, Can I Use Them at a Rental?
While HGVC Points and HHonors points are entirely different, the answer to this question relies solely on the resort at which you’re staying. If you rent an HGVC timeshare at an affiliated resort chain such as Club Intrawest, you will likely not be able to use HHonors points. However, Hilton brand name resorts will probably accept the points.
